Compromising security of citizens of this country

What can be more disgusting than not being vigilant not paying heed to indian intelligence agencies report about attack on hotels of India and US intelligence agencies, coast gaurd's police report regarding smugling of RDX into mumbai..

security lapses , poor weapons, poor equipment, still don't want to talk about it..poor defense ministry..politicising army, police other security forces ...making them all dance to their tunes..still don't want to accept the very fact that the way Indian jurisdiction functions should be put under scanner..according to our EX -home minister "with each attack on India we are gaining experience".. i mean this is what politicians think ..then obviously one can figure out how these people work. Now putting the whole blame on Pakistan..ofcourse they are fault doers..but even after knowing about this..why didnt the government wake up early...now having chat with all supreme country's presidents..spokes person..n all ..what you want to do yourself..Inspite of knowing about the loop holes in our jurisdiction and our carelessness , corruption in jurisdiction there is no point in playing the blame game..

What happened in US on 9/11 is not repeated ,what happened in Britain not repeated again..attack on Mumbai is not the first attack on india..like this attack although not that major one almost 50 and above attacks of terror in this single year India experienced..what did the government do then..since Mumbai is the financial capital of india and is associated with all glitz and glamour and Taj Mahal hotel is a heritage building then this much did our government took responsibility of.If it would have been happened in any least known state then?

You can't in a democratic setup take the lives of people and not be responsible for it...Is VIPs security killing us?Amount spent on some listed 280 VIPs (Z+ security) is equivalent to what is spent on ou whole population."Taxpayers " we normal citizens of this country provide security for these so called politicians..VIPs but....what in turn they have done to us..

Now finally Congress has decided to implement some Anti Terror law..but BJP will definitely put their verdict on it..they say it is POTA in disguise..i mean when will these politicians stop politicising everything..

INDIA WINS THE BORDER GAVASKAR TROPHY

Indian cricketers have rubbished the notion of everyone around the world that they can play 20-20 and win 20-20 and are only fit for it. Men in blue after winning the the Border Gavaskar Trophy have set many new records also proved that this test series won with (2-0) is indeed a very special one.
(1) India won their first series under Mahendra Singh Dhoni's captaincy.
(2) Indian Team won this match 2-0 against Australia for the first time since 1979.
(3) Indian Team team becomes the first country to win 4 series against Australia in last 2 years.

Neither the Australian media nor the team is taking this defeat lightly, instead Ponting is under scanner and his efficacy to lead the team and his decision of giving chance to part time bowlers to bowl in such a crucial match is being doubted.

It was a huge disappointment to millions of cricket fans across the country, Sourav Ganguly was out on the first ball duck out in the last innings of his career. But Ganguly felt,"I don't know whether one duck made my career more dramatic. it was dramatic in any case".

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE

All that is good in mankind is concentrated in the deeds of the god-king Ram, the ruler of Ayodhya. Lord Rama, the moral man with his moral way of life are the reasons for celebrating India's popular festival of Dussehra and Diwali. Diwali comes exactly 20 days after Dussehra on Amavas (new moon), during fortnight of kartik, some time in October or November.

On the day of Dussehra, Ram, killed the great demon Ravan, who had abducted Ram's wife Sita to his kingdom of Lanka. Ram, along with his brother Lakshman and devoted follower Hanuman, and an army of monkeys fought a great battle to rescue his lovely wife Sita. The war against Ravan lasted for ten days. Sita had been returned to her husband Ram and they now make their way to Ayodhya in triumph and glory. Thus, it is on the Diwali day that Lord Ram, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the Treta Yug, returned to his capital Ayodhya after the exile of fourteen years.

Consequently, to commemorate the return of Ram, Sita and Lakshman to Ayodhya, people celebrate Diwali with the bursting of crackers and by lighting up their houses with earthen diyas. This grand style of celebration have continued, year after year. To this day, the whole of Ramayana is enacted in dramas staged in huge pandals and maidans, in cities, towns and villages, on the occasion of Dussehra and Diwali.

The festival of Diwali reminds us of the festive season of joy, splendor, enthusiasm and happiness. It is the festival of lights and is celebrated with great excitement by all Indians all over the world. The uniqueness of the festival is that it is celebrated for five days and each of the days has a special significance and importance. Each of the five days is based of five varied philosophies, with each day to a special thought or ideal. The first day of Diwali is called the Dhanteras, Dhanwantari Triodasi or Dhantryaodashi, which falls on the thirteenth day of the month of Ashwin. On this day, Lord Dhanwantari came out of the ocean with Ayurveda for mankind. This day marks the beginning of Diwali celebrations. On this day at sunset offerings are made of sweets during worship time to Lord Yama (the Lord of Death) for the protection from untimely death. It is mainly done near a Tulsi tree (basil tree) or any other sacred tree.

The second day is called the Narak Chaturdasi. It is the Choti Diwali celebration. On this day Lord Krishna killed the demon Narakasur and made the world free from evil power. It falls on the fourteenth lunar day of the dark fortnight of the month of Kartik and the eve of Diwali. The third and the most important day of Diwali is marked with Lakshmi Puja. It is the main day of celebration. On this day Goddess Laxmi is worshipped. All the Hindu family clean their house and themselves and join with their families and relative the puja of divine Goddess Lakshmi to achieve the blessings of wealth and prosperity, the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. Diwali marks the last day of financial year in traditional Hindu business and businessmen perform Chopda Pujan on this day on the new books of accounts. Any new business or venture starts with Diwali puja. The fourth day of Diwali is called Padwa or VarshaPratipada and Govardhan Puja, that marks the coronation of King Vikramaditya and Vikaram-Samvat was started from this Padwa day. On this day, Govardhan Pooja is performed. Many thousands of years ago, Lord Krishna caused the people of Vraja to perform Govardhan Pooja. From that time onwards every year Hindus worship Govardhan. This day is also observed as Annakoot and prayers are offered in the temples. The fifth day of Diwali is celebrated as Bhai Duj or Bhratri Dooj. This is the day after Goverdhan Pooja is performed and normally two days after Diwali. It is a day dedicated to brothers and sisters. The rituals are more or less like Raksha Bandhan where the sisters pray for the well being of their brothers. The celebration of Bhai Dooj marks the end of the five days of Diwali celebrations. This is also known as Bhai fota among Bengalis. Bhai fota is an event especially among Bengalis when the sister prays for her brother's safety, success and well-being.

Saurav ganguly announced retirement..

Today was a historic day indeed..Saurav ganguly ex-Indian cricket captain and one of India's finest left handed batsmen announced his retirement from international cricket after the series to be palyed with Australia..ya it is painful...coz his mere name is enough to identify the indian cricket team..

Today dada in his press conference in bangalore said that, "I have spoken to my teammates and hopefully I will go out on a winning note."

well i really doubt why suddenly he took this decision also jounalists are in shock ...also rumours say that he got 2 threat letters to kidnap his daughter..also questions arising that whether BCCI and he involved in a deal regarding this..

All this a part but we all indians will definitely miss this "GOLDEN BOY" the name given to him when he started playing international cricket..for us simply he was face of indian cricket.

Sourav Ganguly played 109 tests for India and scored 6,888 runs at an average of 41.74. He scored 15 centuries in test cricket. He scored 11,363 runs in 311 matches at an average of 41.02. He scored 22 centuries in ODIs.

Best wishes dada for these ODIs ....

Soon after 5 blasts delhi police diffused 3 bombs -one at east regal cinema hall, central park and India gate -saving several lives.

TERROR FIGURES :
580 People killed in terror attacks in India since last Delhi serial blasts in 2005

1500 people injured in blasts across the country since last 2005 delhi blast.

13 blasts in India since october 2005,including saturday's blast in delhi.

8 cities HIT by terror strikes -Ahmedabad,Bangalore,Jaipur,Malegaon,Mumbai,New delhi and varanasi.

800 Terror modules are belived to be operating in the country with external support.
Above information taken from MAIL TODAY news paper.
Considering all these figures which are facts one strong determination each "Indian have to make strict determination and that is self help and to be vigilant"....that is because we no more have trust on our jurisdiction because they have never been vigilant nor paid any heed to threats by terror groups .Of course all this is a joke on Indian jurisdiction because their investigation regarding these kind of blasts have never reached to success...their investigation gets prolonged for years..sometimes these blasts hint us to a very fact that probably these are political gimmicks .Because no one is ready to take the responsibility of common public.and also MR. UNION HOME SECRETARY irresponsible comment " that with every blast we are gaining experience"If there is a blast in state then it throws the blame on central govt on its strategies to cope with terroism and vice-versa.What kind of feeeling do a delhi-ite or a Indian carry in his pocket that will he reach safely home today?...Also bomb blasts of this year in b'lore and gujrat were not less than a joke..

FLOODS IN BIHAR A REALITY CHECK......

YA...government gave rs.1000 crores of relief fund to bihar ,to cope with the situation which arised due to floods. Also many state governments gave immpressive relief funds..to bihar govt and thats it.Government has played its part.No one is bothered about what is the actual situation in bihar .Are the funds reaching the flood victims or not Government and any political party is least bothered about..coz they have many other "tasks "to finish..left has to continually pull UPA's leg on nuke deal..in SINGUR the NANO row,and in maharastra Raj thakrey and JAYA BACCHAN have their own ego problems..IF news channel's toll is to be believed OVER 25 LAKH population is affected due to the floods, which is much much more than what it was in TSUNAMI..but why BIHAR this particular state always left in lurch by everyone..With this so called "ghotala state"can any thing ever go right ..and will any government or political party pay any heed.I am really looking forward when will INDIA together handle any disaster.

Nationalism VS Separatism

I have been hearing about pan- islamic movements and redefining borders for Jammu and Kashmir for the past few days.Indians all over the country started commenting on Amarnath Land dispute.. i.e "Central govt is dividing hindus and muslims "."If india calls itself democratic it should give independence to J&K"."Govt need to find a solution for J&K as it found for Punjab"."BJP is responsible for spread for communalism across the nation and many more.............."discussions have reached to this extent that talks are rift about giving 'azadi' to J&K.It has taken a dirty rather senseless turn , according to me the question should be why should J&K be given independence for what sake.even discussing this matter is sham ...because indian army for the past so many years has sacrifised everything for protecting J&K .Does J&K has anything which will give it recognition as a country..If the topic of 'giving azadi to J&K' starts it will never end and will also cause bloodshed ..

Beijing Olympics ..lucky for indians..

SUSHIL KUMAR

VIJENDER KUMAR

ABHINAV BINDRA

Well how proud it feels when we take a glance at the medals tally of Beijing Olympics 2008.A gold and two bronze medals in this olympics will surely grab the attention of whole world, because of the single reason that for the first time india won three medals and proved its mettle in 3 distinct sports and is at 50th rank in over all medals tally.

Riffle shooter Abhinav bindra's victory in the 10m event won India its first ever individual gold medal.Wrestler sushil kumar and boxer Vijender kumar also won hearts of millions with their winning of bronze medals.

Indian medallist

over all medal standings
These medals are also very special because they are won after much toil..It was strange when i heard from wrestler sushil kumar and his coach that they dint have a "massage wala " with them, who could give proper massage to sushil kumar so that he could perform after every 2 hrs for the wresling. But coach himself did that for sushil.I fail to understand even at a global platform like this how can indian olympics federation could not make sure about these kind of necessary requirements for its sports persons.

EMPOWERMENT

President Abdul Kalam has a vision 2020 for India as developed country, at the same time the head lines of daily newspapers scream about the dowry evil, family bondages on women, educational denial, gender bias, women safety, female maternal mortality. Are we heading towards a women empowered country? Definitely not. Despite our father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi's belief that there is immense untapped power in Indian women. It is accepted by all what Tagore said about women that there is a woman at the begining of all great things and women are wiser than men because they no less and understand more.

Inspite of contribution towards modern India, which led to reintegration of social relationships and creation of new codes of laws, still a section of masculine gender is not ready to accept the women empowerment and their efficacy and concept of equity and equality has still not seeped in.

From my point of view, mind of a girl child is a hot bed of emotions. But this is not going to account for anything. So she shouldn't wait for heaven to come to her. She should make efforts to steer her mind towards a state of confidence and happiness by sharing little things she has. Every single lamp can lighten up a completely dark area. By perseverence the snail reached the ark, is a famous Christian quote. It's high time to rediscover ourselves and to make best use of available resources and a peak against the wrong, because it is going to decide our destiny. Our level of persistence needs to be high so that it doesn't allow our enthusisasm to be dampened by the discouragement that must inevitably come while pursuing the goal.

It's good on the part of our Government that is giving rebates on various things for women. Everyone accepts that these days media has emerged as a major source of power. It has been an effective source to voice the problems of everyone. But inspite of all these things, on practicality it calls for a lot. The major contribution is to be from women to empower herself, her interference into matters is going to pay her for ever.

What August means to INDIA

August is the most important month in Indian calender of events. It was in August 1765 that Emperor Shah Alam granted the Dewani of several states to the East India Co,pany, thereby laying the foundation for the British Empire.

In August 1858, the British Government took over administration from the hands of the company. The Government's representative in India was given the title of Viceroy.

Sri Aurobindo's series of articles in Indu Prakash in August 1893 signalled a radical change in the congress's policy ultimately making the paper the hereald of independance Bande Mataram, the great nationalist newspaper, was born in August 1906. The British Government made what is famous as the "August Offer" on August 8, 1940 to enable India "to make the fullest possible contribution to worlld struggle against tyranny and aggression."

On August 9, Gandhiji gave the historic call "QUIT INDIA" to the British and "Do or Die" to the Indians but British representation followed.

August is memorable to all Indians because our country became independant at midnight of August 14,1947. The speech made by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru still rings in our earls." At the stroke of the midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom."

On August 7, 1906, a tricolour flag was hoisted in Calcutta on the occasion of the boycot day. People were protesting the partition of Bengal. On August 22, 1907, Bhikkaji Cama told the participants of an International Forum:" I call upon you, gentlemen, to rise and salute this flag of Indian Independance."

On August 22, 1604, the hold book of Sikhs, Adigrandh Saheb was installed in the Golden temple in Amritsar. On August 4, 1967 the world's largest and tallest masonry dam, Nagarjuna Sagar was commissioned in Andhra Pradesh.

CBI the supremo....

For the past few years we have been seeing and listening about noida nithari case,, CBI probing into Mayawati's property ..yet no solid solution or report on that ..., ,,,Aarushi murder case and now politicians(during the trust vote session inparliament) blaming CBI of conducting false raids on them....because of the pressure put upon by govt...well all this obviously puts a question mark on CBI's integrity...in midst of all this...i mean all of these cases are so called "high profile cases"...but when these cases are not answered or investigated with utmost responsibility and sincerity what can a common man expect from the govt or the country's jurisdiction....

Bonanza for TV viewers

Today's television has lot to offer for the tv viewers. Many entertainment channels are joining the channels brigade day by day.New one's like NDTV imagine,9X have already marked their presense and became nominees for the top entertainment channels. Now a new guest is coming soon which promises a lot of entertainment i.e "colors"..which is all set to rock TV with it new concepts to gain TRP's.It has akshay kumar's fear factor type show called"jo dar gaya woh ghar gaya"having 13 indian actresses too to entertain us.Besides this there are lord krishna's stories and daily soaps and also talk show by Sajid khan..YAh sounding great..

NEW FORMULA TO GAIN TRP's

These days all the news channels are passionately showing miracles of shridi sai baba .They are very well aware that indian populaion believe in sai baba...so all the news channels on prime time showcasing some special report on shirdi sai baba .i dont know to what extent its correct but at least national channels are side tracking the matters of national concern and showcasing this at prime time.I seriously feel that duty of a responsible channel is to showcase matters of national concern rather than of showcasing something which will give themm maximum TRP's.I am a believer in shirdi sai baba, but what i feel is national channels should'nt act in such a manner.

ODI's are now like test matches

Irrespective of INDIAN team winning or losing....ODI'S have lost their spectators in india .Well there was so much buzz about 20-20 matches in india...also talks were there that odi's won't lose their importance. But what i noticed was neither there were talks in media about ASIA CUP nor in common public.. i must say 20-20 has stolen the glamour. When i was watching matches of asia cup i could feel the stress level on players and also they were not enjoying the game.Well now i am a fan of t-20 cricket and not any more of ODI's.http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=-FNEk2_H53k

apj.abdul kalam's yes to nuke deal

dr.kalam is my personal favorite, and for me he is the president of india in true sense. Now his favouring of nuke deal with US has surprised me rather assured me that govt 's decision to go ahead with nuke deal is correct.Prior i was apprehensive about govt's take on nuke deal because it included a controversial agreement b/w india and US,that india will not perform pohkran-3.But after dr.kalam belief that India will be profited by this deal ,i dont think any one else's acceptance and support for this deal matters .Since a personality like dr.kalam is with it.

unforgettable tour

whether bacchan's tour will be unforgettable or not after their tour is of least concern now....but SRK has made it unforgettable for them....now itself. He with his crew viz..katrina,chunky,raima sen, saif, kareena etc..has also planned same sort of tour just before bacchan's....i really wonder ..is it a coincidence or something else well always it cant be coincidence SRK....isnt it.Sharukh i must say you are the one who is the initiator of the controversies b/w you and Big B.

aarushi murder mystery-2008

More than a month passed, still no clue who the murderer is .Literally its becoming the mystery of 2008 because it is streching for a long period of 2008.Initially noida police played with the evidences now CBI is complaining about the same.well intially i was very keenly following the whole thing but now i am repelling with this topic, reason being what day to day CBI is coming out with. Can anyone think about a murder by outsiders, (2-3 people) getting into a house at midnight without the notice of house owners. So let us see for how long this mistery will still be unresolved.

SRK-Kajol

Time for me and us to celebrate.ask me why ?because kajol has given her approval to karan johar for the script of "my name is khan"starring kajol and SRK.Again this magical duo are set to rock the screen .we all  accept  this that this duo has commendable screen presence.Hoping for the movie to hit the floors as fast as possible. In this movie SRK is playing a autistic muslim who is  terror suspect in US.

rakhi sawant and chillar part

hmmmmm......finally rakhi won yeh hai jalwa. She was indeed the deserving one.We always saw usually "male" participants winning the  deserving one's .But in yeh hai jalwa rakhi won.Which came as a surprise to me and also to rakhi herself because we all have been seeing male participants winning.anyways time to celebrate.....rakhi and chillar party won  cash prize of 25 lacs.1st runner up was hussain and 2nd runner up was ronit roy.

left not with govt.......so sad

yah.......knew this would happen. Why would one be interested in a govt which is continously losing hold in each state. So this is an expected step by the left. All matters like nuclear deals or price rise doesnot matter indeed, just an excuse.Every citizen knows price rise is not restricted to india .Whole World is under this turmoil...also grossly ctritising govt is not fair....but again cannot help it,becoz nomore govt is enjoying majority in individual state...

kismat konnection

So much buzz about vidya and shahid's chemistry ,their latest movie, their style mantra in their movie.Well all this is helping the cast and crew of the movie, producers, distributers.because their are in lime light because of some or the other reason .so negative or positive publicity and they are enjoying it.But i really wonder why grossly vidya is blamed about the style and clothing. We need to understand she doesnot want to be a copy cat.She wants to be herself.Indian film industry recognises her because she is vidya balan and not any one among size zero queue.I want to clarify guys i am not being biased.I personally think this film would be good because of the cast and the director.

Time for sikhs to protest

I seriously do not want to hurt any one's feelings but really i can't it,when i think about my country.Just a few days back gujjars protested in a violent manner and disturbed a common man's routine and now its the time for sikhs. If indeed sikhs want to put forth their view point or demand or want to have a talk with govt they can very well do it.But why following what gujjars did.On contrary movies are made like rang de basanti ,lage raho munna bhai etc to teach people some values. But in reality all of these things are given a damn.
